Ryan Fejedelem, B.S. Ryan Fejedelem graduated from Saint Xavier University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Honors. He gained an extensive background in exercise and activity training by having played football throughout high school and college. Ryan joined the NextSteps team as a personal trainer for people with a spinal cord injury in the summer of 2011. He has a personal interest in the ReWalk due to his future plans in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.

I have some exciting news. Up until now Functional Electrical Stimulation ( FES. Did not work on my body from my midsection down. They have been using the Restorative Therapies RT-300 bike. Electrodes are attached to my quads, abs and erector muscles in my back. The electrical current activates the nerves and consequently contracts the muscles. The great thing about this is that not only does it help my muscles but I also feel it as well, which provides my spinal cord with feedback. I own a Motomed.

I own a Invacare XLT Pro handcycle. And like many things I purchase I found it on All of Craigslist. It was owned by a veteran in upstate New York who no longer required it. This is Next Steps. New walking suspended harness. This apparatus helps people walk while limiting the amount of weight they bear. Here I am using my inner thighs to work sideways along the mat. Since the wound on my heel is not completely healed I cannot fully walk on it. I stand daily but my doctor is worried that I might damage it through the walking motion.
