New Zealand is a rugby nation. They are very excited for the World Cup. Most homes in New Zealand don't have central heating or cooling. They must rely on electric heaters or fireplaces. No, no, it’s not that he didn’t want to go. It’s just that the timing never really worked out. We always ran out of time, or we didn’t plan enough in advance, etc. I’ve never been, but he’s done it a few times. The travel guide company Lonely Planet apparently rated kayaking in Abel Tasman as the #1 thing to do in NZ.

We left the steakhouse with just enough daylight left to go pick sweet corn, raspberries, and green peppers from the garden. That night we grilled up some chicken and the sweet corn picked from my grandparents’ garden. The sweet corn was fantastic! Thanks to the whole state of Nebraska. We will be back soon. We will make attempt to make this short and sweet and fill you in on how we have spent the last month making our way to Oregon:. Flew into Portland, via Seoul, Korea. Spent a few days crashing with Gayle and Bryan and catching up. Eating our first American meal at FIVE GUYS BURGERS, followed by pizza the next day and fried chicken the day after.
