Forest walk and fees. Things to know before you come. Mpanga ecotourism site is located in Mpigi district 37km from the city center of Kampala. The site is easilly accessible through the main Kampala - Masaka High way, about 1 - 1.5 hour drive from Kampala. After you see the branch road to Mpigi town, continue driving the highway 6km up until you find the "Mpanga ecotourism site" sign board. The closest taxi stage in called "Mpambire." where you see drum makers along the Kampala - Masaka road.
