Looks like the fisher- man is helping us but looks are deceiving in this case. Stan and myself were amazed that these guys weren't wearing PFDs and didn't have anyway to communicate with land if they had to. Not even a spare set of oars. We were in much smaller boats but much better prepared. Stan in happy salute to being on the water. Sea stack at S...

I've paddled here before with a group but today I was on my own with a plan to have a look for a geological feature known as an angular unconformity in Bacon Cove. I had been there on a geology class field trip almost 40 years ago and I wanted to check out if could find it again. Wednesday, February 25, 2009.

Washing up in fresh water after an evening of kayak practice at St. Phillips (Doug Adams picture). We had a great time and motorcycle rider Doug also took advantage of the day. Its not so much sieze the moment as it is to enjoy the moment. I enjoy this "present" of life and I live it in the present. Superb post Tony. Carpe Diem! June 5, 2009 at 6:16 PM.

Sherry at Queen's River bridge. Sea meets land in Shoal Bay. Saturday, October 25, 2008. Stan trying out Malcolm's Nordkapp. Not Stan. Today, in Torbay, Stan tried on Malcolm's Nordkapp in the company of Malcolm, Ian, Jonathan and myself. There was a bit of apprehension - how would it handle compared to the poly boat?
