Nibbling Gypsy: Mendoza . . . in one BIG post
http://www.nibblinggypsy.com/2012/08/mendoza-in-one-big-post.html
Friday, August 31, 2012. Mendoza . . . in one BIG post. Time to finally move on to the last phase of our trip – Mendoza. Our time in B.A. was all about eating and wandering. By contrast, our time in Mendoza was all about wine and chilaxing. Rather than all staying in hotels in Medoza, our group rented a house together in Chacras de Coria. A small town outside the city of Mendoza. (Quick note: Mendoza. Tommy at the grill. Here is a recap of what we liked and what we felt could have been better. If there&#...

Nibbling Gypsy: 8 & $20: Smoky Paprika Shrimp With Saffron-Lemon Pilaf

Monday, July 13, 2015. 8 and $20: Smoky Paprika Shrimp With Saffron-Lemon Pilaf. Ok friends, I know that I have been quite neglectful of this blog. I was of out of commission for a long time there while I was in the midst of some very intense wine studies. I will get further into that at some point, hopefully soon. They’re also great tossed on pasta or on polenta as a twist on shrimp and grits- here with a little bacon garnish for embellishment. To switch things up with the most recent round of leftovers...

Millie & Elsie: beauty products
http://millieandelsie.blogspot.com/2014/01/beauty-products.html
Wednesday, January 22, 2014. I don't put on makeup every day, but I think it is nice to have a routine for special occasions. Putting on a little 'lippie' and going out was prescribed as a pick-me-up by a fab lady, and anything to get a homebody excited about going back out into the world is useful. I'm also trying to use products that are cruelty free, and here is what I've been using lately:. From Drew Barrymore's 'Flower' line. Cruelty free and made in USA):. Rose Bud and Black Rose lippies. Millie & Elsie: Jewelry keeping
http://millieandelsie.blogspot.com/2014/02/jewelry-keeping.html
Saturday, February 08, 2014. How I'm organizing my jewelry- vintage tart tins. The little cups work for everything except chunky statement pieces and watches. My mom bought me a little pack of jewelry cleaning wipes, and they are excellent at keeping a necklace, or even a vintage brooch, looking shiny and new. I wonder how many people still use jewelry boxes. They have the idea of preciousness, that you only own just so many pieces. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). An apple a day. Cream puffs in venice.

Millie & Elsie: body butter bar project
http://millieandelsie.blogspot.com/2014/02/favor.html
Friday, February 21, 2014. Body butter bar project. Project- Body Butter Bars. I really like making my own bath products. After making scrub successfully, I wanted to try body butter. Several recipes piqued my interest for bars, as well as body butter, but simply melting and molding cocoa butter seemed like a foolproof place to start. I found the cocoa butter at a great little local shop, but several Etsy sellers carry it, as well. Put chunks of cocoa butter in a heat -proof bowl over low boiling water.

The Nibbling Baker
My Baking To-Do List. Thursday, February 14, 2013. Although I am not a huge fan of this "Hallmark" holiday, I will say that these beautifully red desserts are a perfect way to celebrate. I had never really understood what exactly a red velvet cake was prior to making this recipe. I was under the assumption that one simply added red food coloring to any basic cupcake recipe, and voila; red velvet cake (or cupcakes, in this case). Red Velvet Cupcakes (makes 12). Original recipe from Brown Eyed Baker. 3 In ...

Nibbling Nirvana | Eating Towards Enlightenment
Ever wake up with a horrific hangover? Of course you have. Well, if you can make it to the kitchen the next morning (or afternoon) and do this thing, you’ll feel like a million bucks. This is one of the best hangover cures I’ve had. Serve it with your favorite eggs (mine are over medium) and some sausage or bacon. Then take a nap. 2 cups Chopped Golden Potatoes (they should be roughly the size of your fingernail). 1 tsp Dried Rosemary. 1/4 tsp Dried Thme. 1/2 Diced Yellow Onion. 4 Cloves of Minced Garlic.
