I had skipped September (just got busy preparing for vacation), so I made two pies for October. The first was an apple ginger pie with cider-bourbon sauce. From Epicurious. I got a bottle of bourbon a while ago for another pie, and since I’m not a big bourbon drinker, I love how I end up cooking with it more and more. Great Pies & Tarts. I made my way to Sydney’s Darling Harbour to see one of the numerous city-wide firework shows. I was too far from the Harbour Bridge for the biggest show, and people there camp out all day for their seating spot. I left 45 minutes before showtime and was able to fit into the crowd.
