NB/ Jar Packaging
http://www.nicholasburkhalter.com/Jars.html
Week-long self-initiated packaging projects. Each student in the Typography III course receives an empty jar and the opportunity to earn credit by devising packaging solutions on a weekly basis. Art Dept. Mural. R is for Recycling. Chocolate pudding, nothing more. The remains of my beard after I shaved it off. My final jar, an opportunity to create something aged and self-referential.

We sought to create a visually appealing, typographic mural that makes the most efficient, playfully considered use of the space surrounding the Art Department at Appalachian State. Employing the theme of energy as a metaphor for creativity, our message is one of empowerment. We do not want to tell our audience exactly how to feel. Rather we want them to evaluate what it means to be powerful. Collaboration w/ Jake Flowers. Art Dept. Mural. R is for Recycling.
NB/ Visiting Designer
http://www.nicholasburkhalter.com/CLETU$.html
Poster series announcing the presentations of Clifton Meador. Visiting designer and book artist. Clif’s work is cerebral and meticulous, I sought to capture the intellectualism of his oeuvre with a psychological, subconscious conception. Collaboration w/ Matt Duncan. Series of 13, 9 x 24. Art Dept. Mural. R is for Recycling.

Just another WordPress.com site. When the Time Comes. December 10, 2010. So, what do you guys think about this? It’s difficult being in love alone, but are we obligated to say I love you when we’re not in love? Both suck, but I’d probably rather you lie to me. Episode 8: Little Girl Blues. December 10, 2010. December 10, 2010. This epi...
