Nicholas Charles Brennan: March 2011
http://nicholascharlesbrennan.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 10, 2011. If you have read this blog for any length of time, you know how Nick came into this world. To put is short - Early. Way too early. To this day, I don't know why. I wish I did. If we knew why, we could take the steps to cure it. Since Nick was born, I wanted to walk in the March for Babies walk for March of Dimes. This is the year. I have signed up our team and am amazed at the support I have been getting from my friends and relatives. It has been almost overwhelming. Even better...
Nicholas Charles Brennan: Growing Pains?
http://nicholascharlesbrennan.blogspot.com/2010/09/growing-pains.html
Monday, September 20, 2010. This doesn't happen often, but last week it was 3 nights in a row. Of course, they had to be all on work nights, none on the weekend. He usually sleeps all night on weekends. He also hasn't been eating well. Last night I struggled to find something he would eat for dinner. we settled on peanut butter crackers, yogurt and blueberries - which is pretty healthy, even if it isn't a "traditional meal". Thursday, May 12, 2011. Nick and I have been so busy lately. It is hard to keep up. I am going to hit the highlights (photos included) of the last few weeks. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience, but I think we will wait a bit before trying the zoo again. March of Dimes Walk. Nick got a blow up pool from "The Easter Bunny" at Grandma's House. It has been warm enough to get it out lately and he loves it! He squeals with delight the moment he steps in the pool. How can I deny that kind of fun?
Nicholas Charles Brennan: Nickisms
http://nicholascharlesbrennan.blogspot.com/2010/10/nickisms.html
Friday, October 15, 2010. It has been a while since I have written. I realized last night, that there are so many new and wonderful things that Nick is doing, I needed to blog about it so I will have it to remember. He grows and changes so much that I know in a short time some of these great (and not so great) things will be gone. He is really starting to string words together, we aren't up to sentences yet, but he does do 2-3 words at a time. He loves to tell you what certain animals say:. Luckily, he d...

Adventures in Pre-K World: On the Lookout
http://ajmom.blogspot.com/2009/11/on-lookout.html
Wednesday, November 04, 2009. Sit around and wallow and feel like a victim? Worrying what we would do without my income and a new house? Look at it as the opening for something even bigger and better that God is setting up for me. Spend more time getting involved in AJ's school. Rest and reflect on what I would really like to be doing. I know there is something really good coming. I just have to work on my patience. But I must confess, my attitude and stress level have improved greatly. I'm a first-time m...

Monday, February 08, 2010. Back to the Real World. This has been a long time coming. We were gone last week on the cruise we purchased a mere 45 minutes before I was laid off from my job. We got home on Saturday. Had church and choir practice on Sunday; then had a HOUSE FULL of people over to watch the Super Bowl. We had a blast. This morning I start my new job! I have been off work since October 15th and am looking forward to my new challenge. I am so going to rock this new job! Adventures in Pre-K World.

Thursday, September 17, 2009. AJ has been learning a lot about dinosaurs at school recently and is fascinated by the subject. In fact, he announced to me earlier this week that he is going to be a paleontologist. (That's a mighty big word for a 4-year-old! On Monday night he watched a show with his Daddy on the History Channel. It was about volcanoes. By Tuesday, AJ announced that he was going to be a paleontologist and when the volcano 'rupted, he would save all the dinosaurs. Adventures in Pre-K World.
Adventures in Pre-K World: December 2009

Wednesday, December 09, 2009. I missed a very important day yesterday:. December 8, 2004 - Anthony James Yaklin was released from Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital after 71 days in the NICU. He weighed exactly 4 pounds that day. Happy Five Year Anniversary, sweet boy! I seem to be missing a lot these days. I haven't been posting on my blog. I haven't even been reading other blogs.and that's odd considering for a while I was checking them several times a day. I am missing having a job to go to every day.

Monday, March 15, 2010. As a child, I often had strep throat and would keep it for what seemed like weeks at a time. Over the past few years, I have been having more throat issues. I had acute tonsillitis four times between late August and January. The last two bouts were only three weeks apart. The doctor decided my tonsils needed to come out. It is now 2 1/2 weeks post-op. I am finally back on solid foods, unless they are really rough and crunchy. My voice is back and the ear pain went away a c...Adven...

Tuesday, June 09, 2009. Will this ever end? Well, Sunday morning we got a call rescheduling the showing from the day before. Persistent people! Taking a closer look. Who is this guy? Remember That Thing Jesus Did? June 26, 2015. June 26, 2015. I absolutely love scary movies. I mean the creepier the better. I’m not into the over-the-top really gory movies but I enjoy the ones that can freak you out without all the blood and guts…you know like the Notebook. Just kidding. Kind of. You see just because we can doesn’t mean that we should. What may be enjoyable for you may be terrifying and even oppressive for someone else. Just in case, Philippians c...
