We worked Saturday to get all the animals fed knowing this was coming. So when Sunday came my girl had to get out in it. She had so much fun playing in the snow. She played with the tractors, slide down the slide, and threw snow balls. Click Here to Check out My Christmas Ornaments I painted. Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Playing in the wheat.

When the tempature dips down into the single digits, we consider it very cold. I know that the north thinks we are thin skinned but we also spend our summers in 110 weather. The real extreme was the change Monday in the 70's and Friday in the singles. Cattle still must be fed and ice chopped for water. Of course some paintings. I ...

We have started school, in a blur. I have taught class and came home, cooked, washed a child and read a bedtime story. Other than that I believe I am lost. I added an Etsy store to my list of credits and wondered if you have ever bought from a Etsy or other artist site like it. What was your thoughts? Links to this post.

Being a farmer's wife I had planned after a long day in the City to go and make supper, play with my girl and rest. I even promised a swim in hr grandma's pool before we went home. Farm Wives and Daughters. Farm living from the girls' perspectives. Chronicling Life: Saturday morning. Come birthdays, Christmas, dance recitals, weddings or any other special event, I am behind the camera capturing memories. But what about the ordinary days of our lives? The messy hair, dirt under the fingernails, ordinary kind of day? Well, hello there. C’mon Lane, steer this tractor straight. I’m letting Lane pretend to drive the forklift. We are still in our pajamas at 8:30am. Because? We helped Joe...

She is enamored with visual depictions of the macro- and micro-universe made both by hand and by lens, which surface in her work and source material. Lately, she has been working from popularized astronomical material, particularly that of NASA and Carl Sagan, challenging its place within formal materiality and its relation to ornament.

Nikki's Niche | A Blog Focusing on Food and Film
A Blog Focusing on Food and Film. Phantom Farms in Cumberland, RI. Scones are very simple to make and yet there is something about the mix of ingredients that requires the perfect balance. I have tasted scones that are too dry, too cookie like and my least favorite — too muffin like. I have found that you need to stop pouring in your liquid ingredients just before the batter looks like a muffin batter. I have found a coffee shop/bakery in Cumberland, RI that serves a very good scone. Hosts can purchase p...
