Keep Moving Forward: Ironman Debut ???
http://travisjearley.blogspot.com/2006/11/ironman-debut.html
November 27, 2006. So, in speaking with a friend of mine and catching up with him, surprisingly enough, the topic of ironman came up. (Go figure eh? So anyway, we get talking and I tell him that I ended up going a 10:31 and that I know I can do one faster only because my run wasn't under control. He congratulates me and says something to the effect of, "you know 10:31, thats not too bad for your Ironman debut.". Great pictures and a smokin' time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Keep Moving Forward: My Ironman progression (announcement)
http://travisjearley.blogspot.com/2012/11/my-ironman-progression-announcement.html
November 20, 2012. My Ironman progression (announcement). I've worked hard at this triathlon thing since 2004 when I did my first one in Keuka. That race has always held a special place in my heart and it always will. I've gone REALLY fast there. For me), I've gone REALLY slow. There (again, for me), I've won there. And I've lost there. In 2005, I kind of jumped right into the swing of endurance athletics by doing 2 half ironmans. And one of the hilliest century bike rides in WNY. But I loved it, I was h...

Keep Moving Forward: Buffalo Half Marathon race report
http://travisjearley.blogspot.com/2010/06/buffalo-half-marathon-race-report.html
June 4, 2010. Buffalo Half Marathon race report. So this was to be one of my "A-races" for the year and it definitely did not disappoint! No worries though, everyone (minus the deer) was fine, no injuries. Well, back to the important stuff :o) The race report! I continued on and was feeling a little bit "sloshy" at around the 5k point (which is the nice little out and back section by the lake) and I wanted to slow down, but knew I couldn't afford to if I wanted to run faster than my goals! And coming int...

Keep Moving Forward: Musselman Half iron race report
http://travisjearley.blogspot.com/2010/08/musselman-half-iron-race-report.html
August 2, 2010. Musselman Half iron race report. On to the report! Race morning came and I was pretty amped. I was secretly hoping to break into the top 5 overall and get a chance to stand on the giant podium at the awards ceremony, but spoiler alert, today was not going to be my day. our wave got corralled off and we were waiting for the gun and I was joking with the folks in my wave. Pat Wheeler. I made the same mistake at Ironman Wisconsin in 2008. But in their defense, I kind of deserved it :o).

Keep Moving Forward: 2011 Ironman Lake Placid race report
http://travisjearley.blogspot.com/2011/08/2011-ironman-lake-placid-race-report.html
August 2, 2011. 2011 Ironman Lake Placid race report. Race and was able to turn around a few mistakes I made during the day). In the unlikely occurence that it would be non-wetsuit. She ordered them and told me, if we don't use them, we return them, if we do - they'll help and hopefully you can wear it at another race this season that's also a non-wetsuit swim. I am VERY glad she was persistent enough to order one. :o). Swim - 2.4 miles - 56:27 - 4th in the AG. So I yelled, "Ken! I immediately thought my...

Keep Moving Forward: Rev3 Cedar Point full race report
http://travisjearley.blogspot.com/2012/09/rev3-cedar-point-full-race-report.html
September 17, 2012. Rev3 Cedar Point full race report. I chose the Rev 3 race series as my iron distance focus race this year as a different type of race management company other than WTC. I did this for two reasons, one; after Hawaii. Last year, I didn't want to let another year slip by without another race under my belt and the nice thing with the Revolution triathlon series. Me and Mrs. Keep Moving Forward :o). Since this race was so low-pressure for me (meaning no Kona slots. So fast forwarding to ra...

Keep Moving Forward: IMLP 2009 race report
http://travisjearley.blogspot.com/2009/08/imlp-2009-race-report.html
August 26, 2009. IMLP 2009 race report. It’s been about a month now since the race and I’ve kind of let things slide recently and not kept on top of the blog. Most likely it has something to do with not having internet at home and also Blogger.com being blocked at work. No worries though, I finally have found some time to get my thoughts down on paper. This was REALLY a surprise and was cool because the only person in my family that has seen me in an IM is my dad. I was floored. I kept by Bruce and I kne...

Keep Moving Forward: You are faster than you think...
http://travisjearley.blogspot.com/2012/10/you-are-faster-than-you-think.html
October 11, 2012. You are faster than you think. You are faster than you think, quite literally in fact. As most folks know I did Rev3 Cedar Point full distance triathlon. Last month and that was my A-race of the year. It's basically in my new backyard and didn't sell out a year in advance so I thought it would be a good way to test my meddle. I was initially a little perterbed that I hadn't broken an hour in the swim according to the results (I know - wah waaaaaaah! The previous results were up on the w...

Keep Moving Forward: Kona Race Report
http://travisjearley.blogspot.com/2011/11/kona-race-report.html
November 10, 2011. Hawaii is hallowed ground. I know that. I have had a healthy fear and fascination for the race for years. When I started this sport, I quickly realized it was the pinnacle of Ironman and without getting too deep into this subject on this post (I'll post another entry in a little while.ooooh the suspense! But I digress, that's another blog entry. This one's supposed to be about the trip to Hawaii! But for now let's get right into the nitty gritty. Kim and I on the seawall on Ali'i Drive.
