It really is driving me crazy to play out this waiting game for the salmon to start running. Eventually I will learn patience, but not yet. Here are a few pictures from the past week. Don’t be fooled, this Dolly Varden was only 5 inches long. 3 Comments ». I want to come bake . Comment by Grandma Carolyn. 8212; August 2, 2010 @ 4:32 am. Comment by Grandma Carolyn. Field and...

https://nickcoe.wordpress.com/2010/08/10/one-year
August 10, 2010. 8212; Tags: anniversary. 8212; Nick @ 11:12 am. My past year in Alaska has been a non stop learning experience, and I am grateful everyday for the opportunity to be up here. Everyday presents a new and exciting challenge, and the wildlife and scenery that surrounds Icy Bay is without a doubt second to none. The bears are especially interesting to watch. Here is the picture from last year, only about fifty yards from this morning’s sighting:. I still try and spend an hour every night fi...

https://nickcoe.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/icy-bay-has-lots-of-ice
July 22, 2010. Icy Bay has lots of Ice. 8212; Tags: glaciers. 8212; Nick @ 2:26 pm. I’ve had a group of scientists at the lodge this week studying the water and ice in Icy Bay. It’s been interesting learning about the salinity and temperatures at different depths in the bay. I took almost a thousand pictures this week. but here are a few of the better ones. Lots of interesting discussions happened on the front of the boat this week. Icy Bay’s own Sydney Opera House. 1 Comment ». Comment by grandma joan.

http://welcometopaceplace.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 22, 2010. The things we do for daddy. Well, Summer is just flying by! I probably feel this way because I've been counting down the days until our vacation for so long! We are going to Disney. So excited! Allyson has her new princess dress and she is ready! In the summer, we generally stay in a pool. But, we've only been able to swim just a couple times. Here we are at Aunty Shaun's a couple weeks ago. We can't wait to go again if all our schedules can just cooperate! It's a very tasty cake,...

Saturday, January 8, 2011. No Place Like Home for the Holidays. We had a wonderful Christmas 2010. It was nearly perfect! Here's our tree with all of Mommy and Daddy's gifts on Christmas Eve. We exchanged our gifts first thing on Christmas Eve morning. Mike gave me lots of nice things. I guess I've been good this year. I recieved an iPod Nano and a large storage ottoman. And, Mike has been good this year, too! Allyson got to open one gift. Then, it was time to make our gingerbread man. And, then Allyson ...

He leaves Saturday to go to Haiti for mission work at the church there near the earthquake site. He'll be gone a week. I'm so proud of him! I'm still proud of him for wanting to go and doing something good to help others. He does that everyday, though! Monday, April 5, 2010. OUr CrAzY sPrInG bReAk! Monday, January 10, 2011. UmmmmI don't think any words are needed to describe this. Today was a SNOW DAY! But, this wasn't very fun snow. It was hard and icy. Not really snowman-making, snowball-fighting kind of snow. But, that doesn't mean Allyson can't find some fun! Looking all grown up! But, Daddy has quite an imagination! So much fun sliding down the ditch when you're only 4! And, guess what! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Aug 24, 2007. Aug 24, 2008. Aug 24, 2009. Aug 24, 2010. Here We Go Again!

Tuesday, March 30, 2010. So, It's Been a While. I can't believe it's been since March 6 when I last posted. We have been so busy! I feel like life has just been a whirlwind swirling past me. I have quite a bit to post about, but I'll start with the pictures I have ready and go from there. Friday, March 19 was Spring Fling at my school. It will be Allyson's school next year since she's been accepted in our Pre-K program. Yay! Yes, I can't believe she'll be school-age by then. Saturday, March 6, 2010.

Thursday, May 20, 2010. Thankful for These Good Times. Here's an update of the latest goings-on around here. Our little "neice" Abigail celebrated her first birthday. Can't believe it's already been a year! My Mother's Day 2010. I had such a wonderful Mother's Day that it might just be my new favorite holiday. Here are the flowers Allyson picked for me from our garden. It bloomed all week. A lovely blessing. Allyson loves the statues of the children at this outdoor mall. Welcome to Pace Place: Just Can't Get Enough...
http://welcometopaceplace.blogspot.com/2011/01/just-cant-get-enough.html
Monday, January 17, 2011. Just Can't Get Enough. Lately, we've been looking for some healthy munchies to keep around the house. We've always kept cookies or candy around to munch on. It's good, but not good for us. Time to make some changes. So, here's a recipe of something we just can't get enough of lately. It's got sweet and salty. It's just right and actually has nutritional value. But, watch out! You might find your 4-year-old just picking out the M&Ms! 1 medium-sized box of raisins. 3 T lime juice.

Monday, August 23, 2010. Our Little School Girl. Well, this post is exactly 2 weeks late! I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from Allyson's first day of school. Even though, Allyson is still 3 she was old enough to start Pre-K at Linwood Elementary. Making her lunch choice. She brought home lunch. Did you notice her Alice in Wonderland lunchbox? A souvenier from Disney. Allyson got right down to business. :). Here's her teacher, Mrs. Young. Not really sure why Allyson made a fish face! The Ad...

Welcome to Pace Place: November 2010
http://welcometopaceplace.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 24, 2010. On Monday, Allyson went to the dentist for the first time. She climbed right up in the chair and wasn't scared a bit! Barb, our hygentist, was very patient and explained everything. She was awesome! They joked and laughed! Allyson let her clean and floss her teeth. She actually laughed as Barb flossed because Barb told he it would tickle. Barb said she wished all her first-timers were as easy and well-behaved as Allyson. (This made us soooo proud! Allyson's first dental visit.

Welcome to Pace Place: February 2010
http://welcometopaceplace.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 26, 2010. My Winter Break was so busy! It began with a snow day on Friday, Feb.12. So, I had ten days off from work. It was great, but it went by way too fast! I have pictures to share from two major highlights from my holiday. First, here are my beach pictures. Oh, yes, I went to the beach on my Winter Break. I am aware that most people do this on Spring Break! The beach at Tybee is so beautiful. I've been, but it was YEARS ago. And, I just didn't remember just how pretty it was. Today,...

The event served as an informal deadline for me, to get my revisions done so I could pitch my story to agents of the science fiction genre during the conference’s Pitch Slam event. So I did that and it was great. I had a number of agents show interest in my story so I began to send out queries. One step closer to rejection letters! I need to establish my groove.
