A few people have asked me about the language stuff in my first post. So here's a quick how-to, for all of you who care to know:. If the Chinese characters are just showing up as question marks. If you're using Windows XP, go to the Control Panel (classic view preferable), and go to "Regional and Language Options." 號途中，雲層一直壓得很低，遠方山頭也籠罩在烏雲之中，我們第一次行駛國道 6. 號，兩側盡是田野風光，金黃色的稻浪翻湧，蔓延山坡上的是檳榔樹 —. 一種實在沒有什麼美感但經濟價值很高的樹。到達埔里之後，開始下起滂陀大雨，雨勢驚人，連視線都模糊一片。風雨伴隨蜿蜒的山路，平安抵達惠蓀林場入口大門，警衛伯伯說：「從這裡到遊客中心 6. 公里。」在一陣驚呼後，依山傍河的曲徑和煙嵐、撲鼻的青草香、整齊的樹種是我們對林場的第一印象。 真正體驗山林與芬多精是第二天早晨，林場有多條步道可供選擇，少了水泥柏油，腳下踩踏的是碎石和枕木，抬頭可見陽光從樹叢中灑落，微風習習，暑意全消。 公尺，林相景觀豐富，植物種類繁多，絕大部分為原始林，只有百分之 15. 的人工林，主要造林樹種有台灣杉、紅檜和肖楠，對於植物我們是門外漢，但林場樹木前多半立有標示牌，可以藉此多認識一種植物。雖然時序已進入夏季，眼前深深淺淺的綠叢還是有紅葉黃葉點綴，加上蟲鳴鳥語，大自然自有它熱鬧繽紛的一面。 訂閱： 文章 (Atom). At the suburban edge of Krakow and walking distance from Jonathan's dorm, there is a former royal hunting grounds that has been turned into a park. Within the park are several memorial mounds (not burial mounds); last weekend (not this past weekend), we went on a walk through the park and ended up at Kościuszko Mound. It's currently Saturday-turning-Sunday. I'm leaving Kaohsiung early Wednesday. I lose my internet sometime between now and then. I know I have many unblogged stories. Those things that I said I'd blog about back in September, well, I still remember them. Wiener Trip 2k9: Vienna, Day Two. Saturday, we did not have nearly the agenda that we'd had on Friday, but still managed to see quite a lot of the city. We first wandered to Stephansdom. A huge, very old, very beautiful church. The exterior is daunting but still approachable, while the interior is enough to take anyone's breath away. Zumindest bis dahin, denn als wir in das Schlossgelände rein sind, hat uns eine nette Japanerin, die freiwillig Schlossführungen macht (und auch perfekt englisch konnte! Ldquo; aber die alte Frau hatte es ja extra für uns eingelassen…) haben wir uns endlich schlafen gelegt. Am nächsten Tag stand dann ein erholsamer Strandtag auf dem Plan!
