The Art of Tegan Jephcott: July 2012
http://tegan-meredith.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, 29 July 2012. Class 5 Week 5 - Walkthrough: Advanced Dialogue Part 2. Again with Victor Navone, yay! This was getting towards polish, he started talking about offsetting keys. I don't like to offset keys, and if you're going to do it, only do it when the animation is LOCKED down and you're not likely to have to reanimate a part of it. Otherwise hilarity will ensue ;). Then more polishing, adding what is needed to make it work. Here's my hand in for the week. Unfortunately this week I had technica...

The Art of Tegan Jephcott: Class 5 Week 6 - Mechanics and Acting
http://tegan-meredith.blogspot.com/2012/08/class-5-week-6-mechanics-and-acting.html
Sunday, 5 August 2012. Class 5 Week 6 - Mechanics and Acting. With Pixar's Brett Parker! She walked through her process of animating a shot from Ratatouille, focusing a lot on getting convincing body mechanics into an acting shot. It was essentially a workflow walkthrough lecture, but also it was hosted with some students from AM so there were questions she answered there and then too. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Art of Tegan Jephcott: Class 5 - Week 10 - Studio Level Subtext & Subtlety
http://tegan-meredith.blogspot.com/2012/09/class-5-week-10-studio-level-subtext.html
Sunday, 2 September 2012. Class 5 - Week 10 - Studio Level Subtext and Subtlety. This time with Matthew Munn, walking us through one of his shots from Surf's Up - just after Cody discovers who Big Z is, and he's trying to play it cool. Subtext is not an afterthought! Can't stop animating now, gotta get Freddie ready for polish! 7 September 2012 at 23:43. Very touching bit of dialogue. Animation is looking sweeet as well. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Art of Tegan Jephcott: April 2012
http://tegan-meredith.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Monday, 23 April 2012. Class 4 - Week 4 - Secondary Action. A lecture full of secondary action! Jason Schliefer was brilliant - also, really should watch some of The Dick Van Dyke Show. Many interesting things to see. Don't worry about feeling like an idiot, people already think you're an idiot anyways, when you meet them for the first time and they're like what do you do anyway and you're like I'm. an animator and they're like oh, so, you, um, what do you do, do you do that computer thing? Hopefully my ...

The Art of Tegan Jephcott: Class 5 - Week 3 - Multi-Character Shots
http://tegan-meredith.blogspot.com/2012/07/class-5-week-3-multi-character-shots.html
Sunday, 15 July 2012. Class 5 - Week 3 - Multi-Character Shots. This weeks lecture was about staging a multi-character shot - how to direct focus and pull the eye where it needs to be, to convey the main point of the shot, without there being too much for the audience to be distracted by. Essentially, how to make each character alive without over animating the characters and drawing attention away from what needs to be focussed on. That is what we have done. Oh, and our character designs.

The Art of Tegan Jephcott: Class 5 - Week 8 - Hand Poses
http://tegan-meredith.blogspot.com/2012/08/class-5-week-8-hand-poses.html
Sunday, 19 August 2012. Class 5 - Week 8 - Hand Poses. So guess what this week was about? Hand poses with Charles Alleneck of ILM. This was about the importance of good hand poses in a scene. They're almost as important as the eyes - got a clumsy hand pose, could ruin your shot. Got bad eye shapes, ruin your shot. Hands have personality! And I am queen of claw hands. I don't think I have properly addressed my hand poses yet. They're very basic. Not good, huh? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://animatorchitalia.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 17, 2011. Its been looooooooong time since I posted here as I was super busy and partially lazy and that's definitely not a good thing. So, the title of this post is meant for two things, one I'm posting after so long and two which made me write this post and has inspired me to get back completely here like before and that is the NEW BRAVE TRAILER! I'm gonna share it here and I highly recommend to watch in 1080 pixels and loud volume and I'm gonna go watch it again!
