Spamboree 7, September 8-10, 2006. Guajome County Park in Oceanside, CA. Had a great time as usual at the annual Spamboree. This year I got a spot large enough for three trailers and Dave and Louise. Just hope they don't end up conflicting next year! Overall the weekend was very relaxing and fun. This is an event not to be missed. Even if you can't camp, you should come on by on Saturday and check it out. Click on the photos for larger views. For more pictures on Gage's site.

This year's event was held at a new larger location, Woods Valley Kampground. Click on images for larger views. Click here for more Spamboree Pictures.

1947 Ken-Skill Kustom Kamper Model 10. My first teardrop was a 1955 Benroy. But the fact that I'm 6'5" tall and the bed in the Benroy was only six feet long meant that I hadn't been as comfortable camping as I would have liked. I was sort of planning on building a new teardrop from scratch in a longer length to replace the Benroy. When I was camping at the Vintage Vacations meet. The meet was a lot of fun. Help support this site, order Ken-Skill t-shirts and other merchandise. Click here.

1955 Benroy Teardrop Trailer. 2004 Vintage Vacations Meet in Newport Beach. 2003 Vintage Vacations Meet in Newport Beach. My First Campout With the Benroy. I sold this trailer in June of 2004. A Little Benroy History. Teardrop camping trailers were born out of a desire of people to have a simple and affordable means to explore the country without the "roughing it" aspect of tent camping. For more Benroy history from Larry and Diane's Outback Teardrop Trailer page. Click on image for a larger view.

Welcome to my page of information on teardrop camping trailers. I have a 1947 Ken-Skill Kustom Kamper Model 10 teardrop trailer that I pull behind my 1964 Dodge 440 Wagon or my 1995 Chrysler Town and Country. I previously had a 1955 Benroy. When you tell people you have a teardrop trailer, usually you get two reactions. Either they say "COOL! Or they say "What the heck is that! For about a year before I got the car, I'd been thinking of building a teardrop trailer to go with it. My other cars. Are muscle...
