Journey on a motorcycle. Archive for July, 2015. Day 1: Calgary – West Glacier, 428 km, sun and bloody hot. On July 31, 2015. Left the house around 11 am, all ready to go on my next adventure. Packing went easy as I’ve done it a million times. One different thing: installed the leather straps and they work perfect. A leisurely ride brought me to the border, where I crossed without any problems. Hurray for a Canadian passport! Reading and carving before calling it a night. Catching up – crafts.

Journey on a motorcycle. Laquo; Day 6: Comox – Hope, wet wetter wetest, 300 km. Day 8: Creston – Calgary, 470 km. Day 7: Hope – Creston, BC, 590 km. First thing this morning, I checked the weather forecast and decided to take the #3 to head east. It was a foggy and cool morning, but it was the start of a beautiful ride. As the road went left and right, the temperature went up and down. Riding through hot and cold pockets, with a sprinkle here and there, I enjoyed every twist and turn. Ciao for now,.

This summer I decide to carve another owl, but this time in mahogany, which is a much hard wood than I’m used to carve with (basswood). I used Chippy as a model:. Bill, my bird carving mentor, gave me a tip to make it easier to carve hard wood: mix 1/2 water and 1/2 rubbing alcohol and spray it on the wood. Wait a few seconds and it will be easier to carve. Journey on a motorcycle. Archive for July, 2014. On July 25, 2014. I think I finally figured out what happened to me during this trip: I forgot to pay the weather gods! And on the last day of my travels, they made sure that I wouldn’t forget the next time. I finally got home, safe and sound. I parked the bike in the shed, with all the stuff still on it, including the wet tent. I would deal with that later. Now, it was time for my well deserved bubble bath and … a beer! Ciao for now,.
