Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Our newest blessing: Penelope Taisia. She made her arrival at 7:14am on July 13 th. Weighing in at 8lbs and 6oz. She is 19 and 1/2 inches long. She's a great eater and a bit of a night owl. We made it home this afternoon on the 14th and we're all doing well. She's such a wonderful bundle of joy! Posted by Nico Drake. She is so purdy. Saturday, November 8, 2008. We've had some gorgeous days this last week. The boys and I enjoyed playing at the park or in our backyard. We even had several picnics. Our maple tree on Monday finally decided to lose its wonderful red leaves and the boys 'helped' rake. Most of the afternoon on Tuesday was spent raking the leaves in a huge pile and jumping in. Monday, July 12, 2010. Our garden in doing great this year. Matt made a raised bed for us and there's such a difference between the pots and the raised bed. My pots get dried out so quickly in the heat of the summer even if I water the pots twice a day. So, next year I'm hoping Matt will put up another raised bed! Monday, August 3, 2009. Marcia gave me some of her basil one weekend since her plants looked amazing. So, I picked my basil from our garden which isn't looking too great and made pesto! I eye ball a lot of these ingredients since the pesto recipe in very forgiving. About 4 to 6 cups basil. Zest of 1/2 to 1 lemon. 2 Tbls olive oil. About 1/2 cup shredded Parmesian cheese.
