Monday, February 9, 2009. I really enjoyed reading a graphic novel; it was a nice change. Persepolis was an easy read and it was also quite humorous, as well as touching. I enjoyed the movie as well, especially the contrast between the black and white scenes and the colored scenes. I thought that was very creative. Question: “Politics and sentiment don’t mix.”. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. I enjoyed this novel. It was interesting to read from a cynical and unbelieving standpoint and to understand Binx's struggle to find the meaning of his existence. Question: What is the resolution of the story? Does Binx finally find the answer to his search? I do not think Binx truly finds the "answer" to his problems. In the end of the novel, his aunt asks him, "What do you love? What do you live by? And the day after that? Question: Digest Binx and Aunt Emily's relationship.
