Sunday, August 09, 2015. Drape Drape 2: no. 4. After my first go. With the Drape Drape. Patterns, I had to make another! This top, garment no.4, is another single-piece garment with asymmetrical sleeves and dramatic side drape. Here's the pattern piece on the floor:. I went with the sizing on the chart (L/XL), but should have cut the S/M. After sewing the garment and taking these photos, I made adjustments to the hem, sleeve length and side seam that exactly mimic what the smaller size would have been.

Saturday, June 08, 2013. My first bathing suit! I got the bug to make myself a bathing suit after splurging on a suit from Anthropologie, only to have to send it back because of a disappointing fit. So, a quick search of Etsy for a pattern and I found the most incredible set of suits, vintage McCalls 5036 (1976). A year older than me, the pattern was in incredible shape. What makes me happy. Thursday, May 16, 2013. Tumble Tee and Circle Skirt. I got to be a pattern tester for Imagine Gnats. New pattern, the Tumble Tee. I love pattern testing! I highly recommend this pattern- easy and a great way to use up clothes destined for Goodwill. And no set-in sleeves! I refashioned a shirt of mine into a Tumble Tee for Coco in a half-hour- now that is an awesome pattern :). I also made her a circle-skirt. Also super quick. Also awesome. Let the twirling commence! What makes me happy. Sunday, June 16, 2013. Last summer, I made a 30 Before 30 list. I was a little too. I put down such grand goals as memorize 10 poems (4 down! Piano pieces (hmmm.seeing as I never get a chance to play the piano without a child crawling on me, this one was a bad idea). However, I did cross a few things off- and one of them was go to the L.A.
