http://whoswhoandnew.blogspot.com/2015/08/five-tips-for-co-teaching-success.html
Thursday, August 13, 2015. Five Tips for Co-Teaching Success. It's Nicole from Learning Lab. Co-Teaching can be one of the most rewarding, yet challenging experiences. The co-teaching partnership is kind of like a marriage and usually it's an arranged one! Often, two teachers are partnered up without knowing much about each other. Administrators dealing with staffing issues may not be able to look at teaching styles and personalities before pairing teachers up. Think about the general education teacher a...

Time 4 Organization: No More Messy Student Desks!
http://time4organization.blogspot.com/2015/01/no-more-messy-student-desks.html
Tubs, Tools and More. Sunday, January 4, 2015. No More Messy Student Desks! I am pulling this post over from my other blog because I know it is something we all struggle with in the classroom. Right before break, we ran out of time to clean out our desks so we'll be doing that first thing on Monday! We're about half way through the school year and the newness of the year has worn off off. Our desks are messy with papers to grade, parent letters to answer, and post-it reminders to complete. In our school,...

Tubs, Tools and More. Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Bulletin Board Border Storage. Good afternoon sweet friends! I hope that you are not in the area of the US currently affected by all the snow and storms! Here in the south is it pretty cold and windy (for us Southern folks)! Border never stays rolled or once rolled slips from the inside. I've tried lots of organizational methods in the past, but for me . shoving it all in a box was so much easier! My friend Mary is a genius! So simple and so practical!

Spark of Inspiration: August 2015
http://spark-ofinspiration.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 23, 2015. I had a training the other week (30 hours worth) for math and I picked up so many great tips. One of my favorite ones was about accountable talk. I know it's not a new topic, but it was "newer" to me. It's a great way to have your students engaged in conversation that is meaningful, instead of just asking "Do you all agree with 's answer? You get to see their think process and hear them ask questions to press on the thinking further. My questions are right up front for my kids to...

SUCH a classic - had to do. I stumbled upon this incredible " animated storybook. Obviously that was a HIT with my second graders! Student...

Spark of Inspiration: Take Time for Building Friendships
http://spark-ofinspiration.blogspot.com/2015/08/take-time-for-building-friendships.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Take Time for Building Friendships. Consider this your friendly public service announcement. Take time in your classroom and help your students build friendships. It might be the most important lesson we teach. We can talk all we want about grades, we can look at all the data, and we can create academic masterminds if we need to. BUT- I prefer to start at the most basic level: learning how to be a friend and learning what a friend is. Don't know where to begin? They're an easy a...
