Reflections of a Girl Coming Into her Own. Short Stories So Have No Worries. Archive for August, 2009. The story about my birth of storytelling. August 15, 2009. Apparently on February 14, 1988 Cupid was running “a muck” at Monroe Regional Hospital. It was there I am told that I was shot in the butt by an arrow, and also where I got the nickname Valentine’s baby. Rumor has it that I still have a heart shaped scar on my rear but sadly I have never seen it. Don’t believe me? For those of you who haven̵...

Later Sailor…Always Yours. Dedicated to my sailor and my emotional wreck. Military Channel Leaves An Unwanted Feeling…. Ever since Trey decided to enlist in the Navy I have had a cornucopia of mixed feelings. At first I was angry at him despite my constant nagging of “you need a goal and some ambition”. To me it was like he was abandoning me, and that anger turned to resentment. I was not really paying attention at first…tuning it all out I guess. There was a man sitting at his desk talking abo...Then a ...

Later Sailor…Always Yours. Dedicated to my sailor and my emotional wreck. Gone, Baby Gone. She lies curled in a ball. The bed heaves with everydesperate breathe she takes. The tears come and go. Emotions erratically changing and uncontrolable. Her stomach rumbles, the sound is not hungry nor full. The bed creeks as she turns on her opposite side to face the dog. He sighs as her gaze focuses on the white and black companion. They seem to share the same expression. Her cheeks shine wet, fat streaks.

Reflections of a Girl Coming Into her Own. Short Stories So Have No Worries. I have always been a fan of short stories. Late at night when I can not sleep I often lie awake writing them about things I have experienced. The theme and genre usually depends on my mood but none the less I am ready to share them. Maybe I can start a book out of this blog…that is if I can keep up with it. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:.

Later Sailor…Always Yours. Dedicated to my sailor and my emotional wreck. Every Wednesday Trey attends the Delayed Entry Program (DEP) meeting. They take place at our local Navy recruiting station in between a little known Cuban restaurant and a Baskin Robins. At these meetings the recruiters have the boys run a mile, say their creed, push-ups and crunches, and an occasional pep talk by one of the recruiters. Trey: “Oh my God honey…you wanna hear something funny? Nikki: “Sure…”. Trey: “A couple day...
