Girl In Motion: A Running Blog. I Ran Sort of. I’ve got a little update today. Medical-wise, I still don’t have all the results yet. The blood tests and cervical MRI results were posted online and everything looks fine with that. The MRI reports some degeneration but nothing I didn’t know about already. Most importantly, no lesions. But the thing I want to report, as the title of this post gives away, is that I ran today! I mean, I didn’t. Run but I did jog back and forth a few times on a grassy area.

Girl In Motion: A Running Blog. My name’s Flo Karp. In February 2007, at 45 years old, I embarked on a walk/run program called C25K. Or Couch To 5K. From the ass-end of winter through the beginning of Spring 2007, I learned how to run. Over the next couple years I became a sorta fast chick and completely immersed myself in the sport. As far as my life outside of running, I’m owner and designer of Nifty Printables. Check it out and while you’re it, visit (and Like! My Nifty Printables Facebook Page.

Girl In Motion: A Running Blog. A Change Of Fortune. God, I’m rusty at this, but it’s time for an update, if only to push the Gallowalking stuff down the page. The highlight of my life these days, however, has nothing to do with running, but I’ll start with that anyway. Turns out, there was a very real reason…my current sluggish paces were producing the same heart-rate as my old tempo runs! Anyway, after about 10 days, the numbers showed improvement, though a couple weeks ago I regressed due to a stretch...

Girl In Motion: A Running Blog. Where The Girl Has Been – Part 2. There are 2 main types of thyroid medication. The most commonly prescribed is synthetic T4. The other is natural dessicated thyroid hormone (NDT). It’s derived from pig thyroid and provides both T3 and T4. That’s the one I wanted. I made an appointment, thrilled that at long last, my nightmare was coming to an end. I’m a little taken aback though when, upon my mentioning something I’d read in my online thyroid travels, he rolls...So when h...

Girl In Motion: A Running Blog. While I’m Waiting, A Little Self-Promotion. Just a quickie, nothing to do with body conditions or sports, but all to do with my latest design endeavors, of which I am completely enamored: customized invitations and stationery. So I opened a new Zazzle shop for ready-made invites but last week I realized that I could do better by selling them digitally via my Nifty Printables shop. Enough jabbering, here are a few samples of my work:. This entry was posted in Running.

Girl In Motion: A Running Blog. Here’s What’s Happening. Life, however, in its infinite mystery, just managed to toss yet another twisty turn, delaying the end of this story. Becoming a force of its own in such a very short time, it’s like I hit the jackpot; I feel lucky as hell almost every damn day. Rather than an actual need since I’m intently focused on work and am a weird hermit anyway, but it is a bit solitary. I’ll get there though, all the more due to this unfolding story. Now, back in May 2013, ...
