The Three Mariners Inn on Qua y Street with its frontage on the Scarborough Foreshore. Dates back to the 1300's and it. Is believed to be. The earliest licensed premises in Scarborough. It's is also believed that the brick fronted Three Mariners and the timber building next door were once part of the same building, with also another third of the building in Scarborough being demolished at some stage. It was used as a Museum up until the 80s, and is now a house.

The port of Scarborough has been owned and managed by Scarborough Borough Council since the earlier Harbour Commissioners relinquished their responsibilities in the late 1940’s. It is located in Scarborough’s South Bay, adjacent to the popular tourist beach and at the foot of Scarborough Castle Hill. The harbour consists of three piers enclosing an outer and inner harbour. The outer harbour is used mainly by leisure vessels and the inner harbour by fishing and passenger vessels. Local Artist Reg Marsay.

A nanosecond to a second is what a second is like to 30 years! 1x10-9, si units, 1 nanosecond is one billionth of a second, or thereabouts, so if we live for around 3 billion seconds approx 1 century,. In the higher time domains its less then a blink of an eye, i.e geological changes etc. as is true for us when trying to comprehend nanoseconds. If living organisms last for 1 second in that time domain, frequency dependent, i suppose it is 30 years approximately realized of real time with respect to ours.
