Monday, May 18, 2015. Each year our guild has a little bit of a challenge. We are given some fabric, in this case these three Fat Quarters, in October and asked to return a piece at out May meeting. This year pieces were to be less than 100" in perimeter and contain at least two shapes. It is always a lot of fun trying to guess who made which one before voting for viewer's choice. And the viewer's choice goes to Brenda! This one belongs to Karen - she was unable to be there in person. From Surrey, B.C.

We had 33 members and 2 guests join us for the evening meeting. The Four Patch blocks are coming in and look great. You still have another month to sew your blocks if you didn't have time last month. North Star Quilt Guild News. Tuesday, 11 November 2014. October 2014 Meeting Highlights. We had a small group working on guild projects during the day and 32 members and 2 guests for our evening meeting. During the day we were busy finishing the binding on the Elk's baby quilts and they will be picked up by the Elks at our November meeting. We also finished piecing our second Christmas raffle quilt that will be drawn for at the Cranberry Portage craft sale. It is now quilted and just needs the binding.

Pedal to the Metal pattern. A donation to the UCW of a slow cooker, ice cream scoop and cookie sheets was made. A suggestion was made that the guild donate funds in the future toward the purchase of a meat slicer. UFO had 11 members and 2 guests attend. Will be the next UFO date.
