The Brodiach Effstigarth Railway. A blog describing my railway modelling journey after a break of 30 years. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Slowly making progress, no trains for a while yet. I've run out of 50mm insulation board so I am going to measure what else I need and order the remaining stuff for 1 delivery. The depth of the roof framing will only allow for 25mm insulation board, I'll need MDF for the baseboards and 2" x 2" for the legs. I already have some 2" x 1" and 3" x 1" for the battens. Just got a c...

The Brodiach Effstigarth Railway: My master plan
http://pearsonenclave.blogspot.com/2013/06/my-master-plan.html
The Brodiach Effstigarth Railway. A blog describing my railway modelling journey after a break of 30 years. Sunday, June 2, 2013. The red blocks are the shed's window and door. The light green block is the lift out section across the door. The tan blocks are the baseboards. The mustard block is where Diane and Charlotte's village is going to go and will be lower than the other baseboards so it looks like it is in a valley with the track on a bridge at the back. The Brodiach Effstigarth Railway. A blog describing my railway modelling journey after a break of 30 years. Sunday, November 23, 2008. My trip to Reykjavik. I had a company trip to Iceland and specifically Reykjavik last weekend. Apart from almost falling off a cliff I had a really good time. It has been a while since I last drank until 3am so it took a few days to recover from the week. I also had to get up at 8:30am for a 12 hour bus trip the next morning. My one and only HDR attempt during the weekend.

The Brodiach Effstigarth Railway. A blog describing my railway modelling journey after a break of 30 years. Sunday, July 27, 2008. Summer 2008 - East Links Family Park. On our way back to Aberdeen we spent some time at the East Links Family Park which quite literally had something for everyone - rides and animals for the kids, go karts for Ken, animals for Diane and photo opportunities for me. Summer 2008 - Day two continued. The first of several closeups without using my new macro lens. A few pictures f...

The Brodiach Effstigarth Railway. A blog describing my railway modelling journey after a break of 30 years. Sunday, May 11, 2008. I haven't used my camera since the London trip and there are so many things I want to try but never seem to find the time. I've even bought a new tripod which I haven't used yet. I'm still trying to get to. Don't hold your breath. I was wondering what my gothic processing would do to an old shot of St Machar cathedral's roof. Here is the result. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Brodiach Effstigarth Railway. A blog describing my railway modelling journey after a break of 30 years. Wednesday, June 10, 2009. One lunchtime a few weeks ago I went to a local park to experiment with macro photography. I spent about 20 minutes walking around the park failing to find anything worth photographing. Then a bird flew over a crapped all over my shirt. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). News from the mad house. Simple template. Powered by Blogger.

The Brodiach Effstigarth Railway. A blog describing my railway modelling journey after a break of 30 years. Thursday, April 10, 2008. Day Six - London Town at night. I wanted to make the most of the opportunity to take some night shots in London even though I was exhausted after walking around the Science museum. Diane made it all possible by taking the kids back to Ickenham on her own leaving me with the evening to walk around London. A view from the South Bank. Day Six - The Science Museum. Lewis and o...

The Brodiach Effstigarth Railway. A blog describing my railway modelling journey after a break of 30 years. Friday, June 6, 2008. On Wednesday 28th May Diane and I went to see Girls Aloud at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. When we made our way to the arena I started to wonder whether I would be the oldest male in the place but there were other older dads with their daughters in the audience. Some of the girls performing. Me looking strange, and that is Girls Aloud in the background honest!
