Friday, July 3, 2009. This upcoming week are my finals, then Kate and Suzanna come! It's going to be a rough couple of days until Wednesday, but by 7pm I will be relaxed and on vacatioN! That meant that the 5th person ended his presentation 5 minutes after the class ended. So before I could start, the teacher said "anyone who needs to go can leave" that meant that about half the class or more got up and left! And then he said "ok, rapido! Sunday, May 24, 2009. Afterward we fit six of us in the dad's old VW beetle and headed to the "chacra" (plots of land for farming). The scenery was beautiful and it was fun to get away from the city for a while. We visited the family cows to get some fresh milk and headed home. When we arrived we drank fresh warm milk with cocoa and rolls. All day was eating, but it was all so good! I was also sent off with some choclo (a type of corn) and queso which I happily ate on my way home. View my complete profile.

Thursday, March 26, 2009. As of tomorrow, I've been here one month! I am still getting used to everything, but everyday life is pretty normal. It's really nice having a house somewhere with a fridge and a dresser. When I was in the back room I didn't unpack anything and I was living out of my suitcase but now I am moved in and it feels like home. If every month goes by as fast as this one did, then I will be home verrrryyy soon. 5 You wait again for them to get your book for you til they return and check...

There must be an old person's home near my house because the park I live by and frequent every day always has young nurse looking women in white scrubs walking old people around in wheelchairs or sitting with them in benches.
