69316 Highway US 93 Charlo, MT 59824. Ninepipes Museum is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. The displays contain hundreds of Western Plains Indian items that depict the past life of all the Tribes of Montana and surrounding states. These items are not reproductions, but true artifacts. Because the Flathead Reservation was opened to homesteaders, the displays also represent the life of cowboys and early settlers, the fur trade and the Blackrobe missionaries. These containers were commonly used in the everyday life of Native Americans and were usually made from elk or buffalo hide, and later cow hide. Each tribe had their own distinct colors and designs which enables us to determine the general origin of each parfleche. Blackfoot Saddle and Pad. Please support the museum.
