Ive left Thailand and am now in Vietnam, after leaving Ton Sai and Koh Phi Phi I met some really cool folks on the bus ride back up to Bangkok! A couple of Brits and two Dutch girls! We all then split our ways and then Kevin and I went to Vietnam together, we started in Hanoi where we met Hieu the local contact that my Halfmom, Ro connected me with. Wandering in search of. Sunday, June 24, 2007. A Jew, A Muslim, and A Christian walk into a bar! So I left Prague and headed to Barcelona for two days, wow, what a crazy country! The Spanish are full tilt man they do not rest at all, well for about 3-4 hrs in the middle of the day, Siesta! But beyond that they are up at all hours, I was staying in a little apartment. On Las Ramblas in Barcelona and they did not sleep at all, the quiet came at about 8AM, serious! The Sophia Reina museum is very cool!

Wandering in search of. Saturday, September 08, 2007. So the first 3 weeks are over and it feels like my body just got off the plane! Kinda hurtin still but it will subside, just the whole not workin for a long time thing! The life down here is great right now, very quiet and relaxing, we only have 348 people on station so meals are quiet and overall just mellow. The other night we went outside and watched the lunar eclipse and we were blessed have auroras at the same time! Then you come back to McMurdo!

Tuesday, November 20, 2007. Anrill is a 30 million drilling project. Last year, the drilling site was on the permanent Ice shelf, about 5k from Scott Base, near Williams airfield. They drilled through the Ross Sea Ice Shelf (80 meters), the Ross Sea (800 meters), and the floorbed (1200 meters). That was the deepest anyone has ever drilled in Antarctica. The sediment they recoved was up to 10 milion years old. The tour was excellent. We touched rock that was 17 milion years old. Sunday, November 11, 2007.

Liv Tyler did a great job of JUST BEING ON THE SCREEN. I can never get enough of Liv Tyler. The supporting cast is also nothing to sneeze at. Tim Roth plays a general which ends up becoming Hulk's enemy, Abomination. William Hurt plays General Ross. And we get a cameo from LOU FUCKING FERRIGNO!
