The 49'ers Blog. 49ers VS. Colts. The 49ers (3-4) played the Indianapolis Colts (7-0) on Sunday the 1st. Throughout the game, the 49ers lead on the scoreboard until early in the 4th quarter. Under 4 minutes into the game, Frank Gore broke free for a 64 yard touchdown run putting the 49ers up 7-0. With 3 minutes left in the first quarter, Matt Stover kicked a 38 yard field goal to bring the score to 7-3.
