We arrive at the Firozpur train station at 11am, and jump on a bus, that will be ours for the next 10 days or so. Unfortunately the bus is not big enough to fit all of us, so two must sit in a car. Also, the bus isn't big enough to fit our bodies. I mean - it's alright. How fresh is the air going to be? What kind of tourists will I run into?

S is actually Baby Jakob's sweater. I was using it on the last day of south tour and I haven't had the chance to give it back to him. Oops. We end doing none of the sports provided. 400 rupees for two rides down a hill? I don’t think so. So we sit and drink chai for hours. A good end to a good day :D.

My year as an exchange student in India with Rotary Youth Exchange. Thursday, April 14. Day 1 of the tour in Jaipur in front of our bus, this was our first set of group pictures. In front of Amber Fort in Jaipur ( I'm pretty sure). Kelsey and Nisha. There are many, many pictures in which at least one of us is making a face. My year as an exchange student in India with Rotary Youth Exchange. Thursday, April 7. North Tour Part Ten; Derjeeling and Gangtok (Holi). Gangtok is in the state of Sikkim. Because Sikkim is on the Chinese border we, as foreigners, needed special permission to enter. As soon as we crossed the border we had to stop to register and get our passports stamped before we could proceed to Gangtok. The first day we were in Gangtok was the Hindu festival of Holi. Sitting in front of the hotel to take pictures.

It's more than a 12 hour train ride form Agra to Varanasi, one of the holiest and most opium using cities in India. Varanasi is also one of the most popular cities for people to bring their dead for cremation.
