Today me and John fantacone decided to fish green turtle pond in ring wood nj. After several hours of fishing we caught absolutely nothing. Not even a single bite. Instead of just packing it in I decided to pull the boat out and relaunch it back into Shepards lake once again! For the second time Shepperds lake becomes a go to spot.

Monday, February 24, 2014. Matt taking a look below with the Marcum on a slow day on The Valley. Monday, February 17th, from 7am until noon. Ice Fishing with Matt and Joe C. Cold, sunny and a little breezy. Bluebird skies. 17 degrees warmed to 29 at noon. Winds NW up to 13mph and gusting to 34mph. Waning, 2 days after full. Frozen on top. 11 inches including the frozen snow and ice. Water was crystal clear and 34 degrees off the bottom. There are two highlights of every winter for me. The Valley was dead.

It's a New Year, and that means ice fishing. After a stellar start to fall musky fishing, it was a quiet finish to 2014.
