So one Friday, early on in the program, a bunch of us decided to head over investigate the castle on Nijo (second street). Nijo castle. We finally arrived at Nijo Castle at I think 3:05. So yeah. There was definately nothing blooming anywhere. But there was a beautiful waterfall, a lovely pavilion on the edge of a serene pond (filled with gigantic man eating koi fish longer than my arm), and an interesting display of bonsai trees.
