Monday, May 21, 2012. A Festival of Quilts. With all the sewing going on over here, I thought it appropriate to participate in the Bloggers' Quilt Festival. People have been making some great quilts, and it's been great to hear a bit of the process or story behind them. I'm going to talk a little bit more about my favorite quilt that I've made - the Rainbow Vortex Quilt. I couldn't stop thinking about it! Pictures kept popping up online, adding to my obsession. I finally got out the rotary cutter and set...

Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Flickr just changed it's user interface this past week, and it was pretty dramatic. I'm not a fan of change, and I know I'm not, so I gave myself a bit of time to get used to this. And I just can't. I tried - infinitely scrolling (and waiting for things to load in that scrolling.), not having comments as readily available, everything being an icon. EVERYWHERE. But the back-end "work" side of these things are done on actual computers, I think? And I *know* people through that. A...

Monday, March 11, 2013. I've been making some progress on the previously mentioned. UFO pile. I'm focusing on the sweaters, as I've got a few plans for FUTURE sweaters, and I'm not to start them until I get through the unfinished batch. So: PROGRESS! Like that, a sweater is born. It's super comfy and warm and delightful. There are 2 more sweaters that are in need of completion, but they're on hold for another week while I take care of some contract knitting. Which is a nice break at this point :).

Thursday, June 19, 2014. The Saddest of Days. This little wonderful lady has been my constant companion for the last couple of years. She slept on my bed, she woke me up in the mornings, she brought me dead stuff, she sat outside the bathroom when I was inside and she stuck her nose into everything I did. Fufu (fufee, foofsters) the sweetest feisty little girl. I will miss you forever and always. I want to leave this house, this village and live somewhere quiet and remote wher my cats can roam free.

Sunday, February 22, 2015. Finally got round to setting up a light box. Spent £25 on lamps and £24 on 20w output 100watt light bulbs. Cut 3 big squares out of a cardboard box (both sides and the top. Then taped the holes over with white parchment paper. I then added a strip of wallpaper on the inside. Faced a light towards each piece of parchment and hey presto one light box. Here's some pic taken in my light box. Saturday, February 7, 2015. Learnt a new technique from this video. You may also see a litt...

Mushroom: January 2015
http://zombiecazz.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2015. We had a big change at the beginning of the year, my Bestie and Pottery Bud moved South 😩. The only upside is that I had to make a major change to my house so that I could fit the pottery room in my house instead of her sold one. Anyway it has taken a bit of effort but it is starting to take shape. Still need to get an electrician in though, so no kiln at the moment. But I have started working on new things. Sgraffito is big this month with me. Saturday, January 17, 2015.
Mushroom: September 2014

Friday, September 19, 2014. Scotland Says No Thanks. I have never been so ashamed of my country. I watched in horror and sadness as the votes for each area were confirmed. I have no idea what the final numbers were, but I do know too many of my fellow Scots have Chickened out of making our nation a free and independent one. The Moët will go back in the box and I have absolutely nothing to celebrate. Thursday, September 18, 2014. Today is a very scary day. It really is nailbiting stuff. It was a huge YES ...

Mushroom: Tea Bag Catcher
http://zombiecazz.blogspot.com/2015/07/tea-bag-catcher.html
Sunday, July 12, 2015. I made these pinch pot tea bag catchers several months ago. Yesterday this one came out of a glaze firing. I used Mayco Mirror Black as the glaze. He's gorgeous. So much so that a friend saw him and immediately bought him. Hope he gives her loads of pleasure and catches those teabags. The other two are bisqued and ready for glazing. July 18, 2015 at 1:56 PM.
