Yesterday, I got an opportunity to have a preview of what my job will be like. I got to tour Lutheran. Hospital's lab. The lab was divided up into different categories. The odor that encompasses you as soon as you walk through the door. The smell of microorganisms reproducing. Yummy, huh? As I walked around the lab, I now thank Dr. Kreps. Thursday, May 7, 2009. I ended up in the bathroom again trying to prevent myself from passing out. So, when this class came around I knew I had no choice but to suck it up. Amazingly, I've made it. No pass outs. I've even acquired a good technique. I still have issues with the fact I'm actually jabbing metal into someone's vein and I doubt that thought will fade. Wednesday, June 3, 2009. My hair put to the side, then the fellow bridemaid's hair with an up-do. This past weekend was my friend's wedding. Although they have only dated each other a little over a year, they are now married. It was a nice, simple wedding which matches my friend perfectly. Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Sharps' are what my phlebotomy instructor says instead of needles. Did you know they come in various sizes? Getting IV needles are a heck of a lot worse than the butterfly needles they use to draw blood.
