This morning we took the ferry from Great Keppel Island to Yeppoon and then had a really long drive to a beach town called Mooloolaba, which is located near Brisbane. We didn't get to Mooloolaba until about 7 pm. We set up our tents and the holiday park and then grabbed some dinner. Kangaroos in an open field. The Steve Irwin shrine. Saltwater crocodile in the Crocoseum.

Nathan's New Zealand and Australia Blog. Friday, March 16, 2007. After a relaxing morning, we departed from Byron Bay and had about 6 hours of travel time in the van to get to Hervey Bay. There really isn't anything to do in Hervey Bay. It's basically just a place we stay to catch the ferry to Fraser Island tomorrow.
