The Art of the Picture Book. One’s own image. Posted on Jul 26, 2015 in Art. This weekend I had the pleasure of speaking at Simmons College in Boston. One of the perks of speaking at these functions is being able to attend other artist/author talks and workshops as well. The only drawback is usually finding myself fighting off headaches from so much mental stimulation. My panel was held on Saturday morning. I laughed and shared with Vicky Smith. VreeBlog, Jack Vreeland, Nancy and Nell: May 2007
http://vreeblog.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
VreeBlog, Jack Vreeland, Nancy and Nell. Wednesday, May 30, 2007. Finally getting some time to work on the trim in the attic. Got the two halfit joined from two 10" poplar planks. Used "whacky board" for the inside curves. Got a new router to replace my dead Sears one. Used that with a flush trimming bit to give the inside curve after gluing up the whacky board. Made a big compass and marked out the outside curve and cut with a skillsaw. Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Click image below to see more photos.

VreeBlog, Jack Vreeland, Nancy and Nell. Thursday, September 11, 2008. Darien Brahms: Too Late for Whitey. Here is a clip of the Darien Brahms CD release party at Space Gallery, Portland. September 6, 2008. I played a couple of tracks on her new CD, No. 4. Left the B3 in the dining room and used the B4 II software with the laptop. Band was all great. Practiced twice before the gig. Darien is a superb songwriter, editor and performer. Was fun to return to the stage for a second. .

VreeBlog, Jack Vreeland, Nancy and Nell: April 2007
http://vreeblog.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
VreeBlog, Jack Vreeland, Nancy and Nell. Friday, April 20, 2007. Portland lost so many large trees in the high winds and rain on April 16, 2007. This is just one of many that went down in Deering Oaks Park. The ground was saturated and with gusts up to 80 mph the trees just laid down. This one pulling a blanket of sod over its roots.
