Friday, October 7th. She still doesn't know what to do about the door. It has remained open all week long, leading out to the same parking lot from which she'd entered Milliways- but it's not the same time. Just-spring's given way to gray autmun, grayer and grayer with each passing day, and she knows that every hour she delays makes it worse. She's off work now, sitting at her usual table with coffee and a notebook and eyeing the door as unobstrusively as she can. She can't stay here forever.
