Pacific Adventures: September 2010
http://kerry-pacificadventures.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 18, 2010. Sunset is my favorite time of day. I try to catch it as often as possible when I am out on the ship. The past few days have had some very pretty ones, and I couldn't help but take some pictures. Pearl and Hermes Atoll, day 4. The water was so calm I could photograph even the smallest of ripples. I thought this one might make a nice background for my computer. The moon rising over Pearl and Hermes Atoll. Green Island, Kure Atoll just prior to sunset today. Kure Atoll, day 1.

Not All Who Wander Are Lost". Sunday, September 12, 2010. Tuesday was day 1 of diving and data collecting at French Frigate Shoals. After breakfast, at 7:30, the Hi'ialaki and CRED crews meet for our daily dive safety briefing on the fantail. The sea state was a calm 1-2 feet, a nice way to start our "work week." After the meeting it's time to launch. Every morning we launch 4 small boats from Hi'ialakai. Rubber Ducky. HI-2 I cruise in HI-1 with members of CRED's benthic. Team and our coxswain. Heads wer...

"Not All Who Wander Are Lost": I'm tired.
https://zoedagan.blogspot.com/2010/09/im-tired.html
Not All Who Wander Are Lost". Saturday, September 18, 2010. We arrived at Pearl and Hermes Atoll. Just around time for breakfast on Monday. Straining my eyes to see just a bit further past the horizon during our morning meeting, the weather and ocean conditions looked fantastic. Calm seas and only the slightest breeze make for pleasant diving and easy transits in HI-1. This photo is mine! It is now Friday, we are in transit to Kure Atoll. Companion on our first dive at Pearl and Hermes (PHR). One was lar...

"Not All Who Wander Are Lost": In Transit
https://zoedagan.blogspot.com/2010/09/in-transit.html
Not All Who Wander Are Lost". Monday, September 27, 2010. So the Hi’ialakai departed Lisianski Island. On Saturday and is currently in transit to Oahu. I like to describe my transit experience as 4 days of open seas with no work; trying to stay busy without getting fat or pregnant because we all know that eating and sex are natures way to combat boredom. Last night the Engineering Department. Did their best to defray the monotony and held the 1. I am the reason you are all here! The highly coveted trophy.

Wednesday, December 21, 2011. I spent Thanksgiving this year in Pensacola at my sister's house with Rich, Chris and Jessica. They have a great house on about 5 acres of land. Complete with a barn for Rich's workshop. Their neighbors even have horses! They have a cool little trail behind their house.with pitcher plants! Chris, Rich and Jessica- I'm so happy to have them living closer! It gives me a chance to play with Jessica- she's 3 now and very interactive. Here we are blowing bubbles! My sister and I!

Fun in Florida: May 2011

Sunday, May 15, 2011. To start off my birthday weekend, Rolo hosted one of his fabulous beach picnics! There was lots of paddle balling to be played! Rolo was by far the best at it and he had to put up with all of our uncoordinatedness (yes, it's a word)! Rolo takes a "water" break with some of his rum punch! Mark and Ian prepare for battle! While Peter rests his ankle. Ian even takes the time to stretch beforehand.now that's dedication! I'm not going to tell you what this face is.but, can you guess?
