Vamos Hayley and Tom. A fine WordPress.com site. Monthly Archives: June 2012. Bienvenido a la Ciudad de México. June 30, 2012. We arrived safe and sound, but it was gruelling. There were some highlights: tequila on the aeroplane drinks trolley (we passed) and a successful first look at the not so mean streets of the capital. First impressions of Mexico are mixed but generally good. It’s hard to be objective after 24 hours on a plane. It’s very Spanish, and I wonder why the city is. June 29, 2012.

Well, to Aguas Calientes, then a 20 min bus up the hill for the final bit. But we didn’t take the train. What is it that makes people want to take on physical challenges? By the end of the day we were heavy legged and tired. At night it’s freezing up there! I’d be able to tell you, had it not been so dark in our campsite....
