Drawing on a great wellspring of music from the 50’s they balance tradition and innovation to produce a sound that is retro on rocket fuel! The recipe is refreshingly straight forward with no bells, mirrors or computers just four musicians who are passionate students of this era and deliver with enthusiasm.

Mark De Battista has in his short career on double bass covered a lot of ground. A fan of hot rods Harley Davidson bikes and repairer of old juke boxes, he has a boundless enthusiasm for the era, so turning to the “doghouse bass” a couple of years ago made sense. In that short time he has played for many bands and shows including Australia’s internationally recognised Buddy Holly Show. Is his Yamaha Maple Custom drum kit; one of four he owns, a mighty sound for burning it up with No Brakes.
