Who’s the Scrooge? Who’s the Scrooge? By Roderick T. Long. 8220;At this festive season of the year, Mr. Scrooge,” said the gentleman, taking up a pen, “it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time. Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, sir.”. 8220;Are there no prisons? 8221; asked Scrooge. 8220;And the Union workhouses? 8221; said Scrooge.

Antiwar is the Health of the Anti-State Movement | Anarchy Without Bombs
https://anarchywithoutbombs.com/2012/05/07/antiwar-is-the-health-of-the-anti-state-movement
Antiwar is the Health of the Anti-State Movement. This is the text of my speech at the Libertarian Party National Convention, which I delivered on May 5, 2012 in Las Vegas and was broadcast live on C-SPAN. Thanks so much to those who have given me such positive feedback and requested a copy of my speech. Since it was for oral delivery, I paid little attention to punctuation.]. Drowning people in fear is the key to power. But we also learned five years ago that antiwar is the health of the anti-state ...

And lest we forget, Antiwar.com is the Health of the Anti-State Movement. I promise, no more variations on Randolph Bourne’s line this month, but Antiwar.com is conducting its quarterly drive for donations. I’ve long been an admirer of their work and a recurring donor, and was greatly honored when they chose to highlight my speech on their blog at http:/ www.antiwar.com/blog/2012/05/09/less-antmans-antiwar-speech-at-the-lp-convention/. http://trillby.blogspot.com/2010/09/revisited-and-revised.html
A Vagabond in Beautiful Shoes. Sunday, September 19, 2010. It took me most of the afternoon, but I managed to merge the Google account with my old blogger account - which means that I can actually use this again now. It needs work though. Expect changes and improvements in the near future. Shoot, maybe I'll even remember to write more often. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Other Places You Should Check Out. Travel template. A Vagabond in Beautiful Shoes: April 2011

A Vagabond in Beautiful Shoes. Sunday, April 24, 2011. Happy Zombie Jesus Day! Or, Why Easter is the Most Terrifying Holiday. 1 Jesus rose from the grave. And what do we call someone who is buried and manages to claw their way out of what is supposed to be their final resting place? That's right, a zombie. 2 He brought other dead people with him. 3 Even that wasn't the first time Jesus had caused zombies. Ever hear of Lazarus? Yeah, he'd been dead 4 days before Jesus turned him into a zombie. Subscribe t...

A Vagabond in Beautiful Shoes: Revel
http://trillby.blogspot.com/2012/09/revel.html
A Vagabond in Beautiful Shoes. Sunday, September 9, 2012. There's a tingly magic in the air. The breeze flutters around your face, wafting smells of barbeque and campfires to your nostrils. The leaves rustle as they try to hold on for one last glorious tell-all show. The birds and insects even sound different - no longer do they hum carefree, instead their song has taken on a desperate note "Hurry! We've only got a few weeks left." But, most of all, there's an undefinable feel. Farewell Sunset, 2010.

A Vagabond in Beautiful Shoes: October 2008
http://trillby.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
A Vagabond in Beautiful Shoes. Saturday, October 18, 2008. Wow, I forgot I had this particular site. I only attempted logging back in because I was having trouble commenting over at Rhys' blog (which by the way, if you haven't seen, you should check out). Hmmm, you ever wonder what happens to webspace that you lay a claim to, then ignore? Except you're not required to do anything productive with it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
