Faeya: December 2010
http://faeya.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 14, 2010. We've heard it tossed around a lot in the last decade. Republicans throw the word around like a catchphrase, and accuse those that oppose them of impinging on their freedom. Two wars have been fought, and are still being fought in the name of bringing "Freedom" to the Middle East. And American Healthcare (and now our Medicare too) have been questioned as imposing on individual "Freedom" to choose. 1 Freedom of Speech and Expression. 2 Freedom of Worship. 3 Freedom from Want.

Faeya: Visiting Dignitaries

Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Sure enough, when he'd crossed the street and joined the leaders, we were informed that he was from the NDP and would speak to us, so to go to the west side of the gates. I grabbed a shot of him as I followed the flock. Once we had crossed over like good sheeple, we milled around waiting; wasn't he supposed to come talk to us? On cam, right before his few handshakes. Told the drum-band to keep playing, then moved on to the end of the line. There he, again stood around talki...

Monday, December 7, 2009. Blogs, Batteries, Baking and things. I can't believe the last time I updated this thing was the week Morgana died. If it weren't for the adorable black kitten-in-a-box-in-a-window that came into our lives the anniversary of her disappearance. I wouldn't be able to even Look at this blog again! But I digress. I have another reason to update. Or reasons. I think its about time he got himself a good outlet! Check out Nocte-Musings.Blogspot.com! Or friend him on Facebook). But this ...

Faeya: July 2008
http://faeya.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 27, 2008. I and I have been spoiling ourselves as of late. Last week I called up Telus and threatened to leave if they didn't give me something as good as an iPhone. It worked like a charm :) The lady at retentions gave me a $750 credit to get any data phone I wanted! So I got the Very pretty HTC P4000, which runs Windows Mobile 6 (and my MS OneNote), and organizes everything very very prettily! While Metal Gear Solid isn't my kind of game, It highly deserves the rating of 10/10 it got!

Faeya: August 2008
http://faeya.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 25, 2008. Now first, Jays' Liz got my hopes up with the possibility of free plane tickets through a friend. When that fell through, it was disappointing, but I was okay with it. I mentioned my idea to Ray's. Liz, and next thing I knew, there were a bunch of people going en masse! The irony did nothing to sweeten the disappointment. I was jealous. Gods Bless Liz and her persistence (and vast network of contacts)! But Liz didn't stop there! As Liz is Absolutely convinced that she can MAKE th...

Faeya: October 2012

Wednesday, October 17, 2012. ComicCons and Career Contemplations. I may have had a terrible feeling that the world was falling to pieces around me (courtesy of walking the line), but my only way to combat the feeling was to give myself a sense of control. Knowledge gave me that control. Now don't get me wrong, I've been a geek and a gamer for a very long time now, but there's a big part of the geek community that I feel slightly apart from. Excluded. Seeing my old friend, @Kessel Run. It Was. Amazing!

Faeya: March 2010
http://faeya.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 4, 2010. Canadian Bread and Circuses. This is my response, to a brilliantly written piece on the Olympics by my good friend Irkar Beljaars, radio host and activist for Native Rights. You can find the piece at http:/ www.irkarbeljaars.com. Another theme that was repeated throughout the games was that of "patriotism". Sure, there were lots of Canadians dressed in red and white showing up to cheer on the athletes. but can you really call that Patriotism? Under the neoliberal regime, we've ha...

When the prof said that people who use a cell phone while driving are 4 TIMES more likely to have an accident. you wouldn't beLIEVE the number of people who objected to it! Please tell me you don't drive! Quirks and Quarks Episode, Feb 16.
