There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity. Tuesday, August 08, 2006. Moving house is over-rated. And I've only really done it once before as a married man with accoutriments (that's what your wife fills the place with, by the way), although surely that time counts for double given that it was all the way from Japan to Glasgow. The flat we're moving to is a. It's also allegedly got running water, and a sink in the kitchen, which weren't there when we looked at it. It. The Lord lift u...

As parents, our prayerful hope for our son is that he would share the Peace of God, with the strength and gracefulness of a mighty horse. Kazuma is also called Granger, after his Grandpa. He is looking forward to meeting you all, after a.

Recently I've finished reading through Rick Warren's multi-million selling The Purpose Driven Life. Zondervan: 2002, see http:/ www.purposedrivenlife.com/. Let's take an example. On p.295 Warren says this:. The eternal salvation of a single soul is more important than anything else you will ever achieve in life. Only people are going to last forever. It will ...

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity. Saturday, August 04, 2007. Citizen of the World. KGB is now a citizen of both the United Kingdom, and of Japan. And then because Japan is so focused on the absolute loyalty of its citizens, when KGB hits 20, the Motherland will force him to make a choice: them or us. If he chooses Her Majesty, it's bye-bye to Imperial Protection, and my afternoon in the Embassy will have been for naught. The whole experience reminded me of this one:. How ha...

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity. Friday, July 04, 2008. A lot happens in a year. It's been almost a year since I posted on this blog. In that time, so much has changed. Perhaps the biggest change is that we've moved back to Japan to begin training at seminary near Tokyo. We've only been here three months, but we often feel like we've plunged in at the deep end, and haven't yet surfaced. Maybe I'll write again when I come up for some air. Posted by Richard @ 2:19 am.

http://brashbyname.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity. Monday, May 29, 2006. How does God guide us? I used to think I knew the answer to this one quite clearly: God's got a plan for our lives which is set in stone because it's there from all eternity, and so all we've got to do is find it out - by prayer (understood as getting us to conform to God's will), reading the Bible, and "circumstances" (along with a bit of 'prophecy' if you're a charismatic) - and then. What I've been learning recently...
