Contact, Visit, Stay. We produce approximately 100 cases of pinot noir each year from our two acre vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. Our wines are made exclusively from fruit grown on our property. Each bottle is individually numbered like a limited series lithograph. Our label art was done by a local Oregon artist and features the view looking west from the vineyard. The views from our vineyard are an inspiration to us and we strive to make wines as pretty as the site they were grown on.

Contact, Visit, Stay. The vineyard is just 2 acres of reddish-brown Jory soil, planted to six different clones of pinot noir (Dijon 777, 667, 114, 115, Wadenswil and Pommard). We farm the vineyard 100% organically, using no pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. At the far end of the vineyard is our small house, where we entertain friends and visitors.

Contact, Visit, Stay. A small group of us travelled to Burgundy, France with winemaker and Burgundy importer Scott Wright (formerly of Scott Paul Wines). We stayed in the small village of Pommard, shown in the foreground. In the far distance is the equally charming village of Volnay. Everything in between and as far as the eye can see is nothing but pinot noir.

Contact, Visit, Stay. Winemaker Todd Hamina loads one of our harvest totes onto the scale for weighing. In 2010 we brought in just one ton of fruit. In subsequent years we will limit production to between one and 1.5 tons per acre.

本日は小雨の中、ワイナリーを3軒回りました。2012年のオレゴンは気候が良く2008年に勝るとも劣らない出来とのこと。 ただ、良い年だけに、過剰な果実味やタンニンが感じられるワイナリーもありました。それと、出来の悪い年と言われていますが、その為か酸が豊かで切れ味が良いワインも多いのも事実。 どう発展して来たのかかわかりませんが、ポートランドは従来のダウンタウンの外側に発展して来たらしく、ダウンタンより川の向こう側とか、ここのようにより東（？）側の旧倉庫街にお洒落な店が増えているように思えます。地価とかそういう関係？ まず行ったのは、ChehalemのCOLENE CLEMENS ここはとてもエレガントなピノを造っていてびっくり。 ここのPinot Noirも美味しくて、Coast Range Pinot Noir 2011を購入。 続いて、Yamhilの Saffron Fields. これらのPinot NoirはDomaine SeｒeneでワインメーカーをしていたTony Ryndersの手になるもの。 今日の最後は、 Lenné Estate Winery. 12290;ブルゴーニュのムルソーで...
