Having previously owned a second generation turbo Eclipse, I knew the potential of this engine. Wednesday, September 9, 2009. If I were the product planner for the Evo XI. Wouldn't it be fun to have this job? There are probably small things they could retool on the line and make the car a whole lot better for not too much cost. Some other things I want would not be too cheap. Here's my dream list:. 200 pound weight reduction. Engine quality control. Pistons and rings addressed and pushed to handle more power. Nicer interior trim. Aluminum, carbon fiber, or faux carbon fiber would help.
