Warner Nickerson Alpine Ski Racer. Life, one half-hour at a time. Athlete Review of 35 Meter Radius GS Skis. As the World Cup Season Opener in Solden, Austria is set for this weekend, it’s time to release my athlete review video of the 35 meter radius GS skis. I did this for a few reasons:. 1 The athletes do not have any power under the dictatorship of F.I.S. and the athletes must be heard. 3 I think the athletes ability to overcome these drastic changes is a compelling story. The most dramatic change wa...

Warner Nickerson Alpine Ski Racer. Life, one half-hour at a time. Ski Community Embraces this World Cup Ski Bum. 8211; Over the years I have learned it’s important to not be a planner. Actually I tend to think less is more with planning and I realize this only works because I am either alone or with one other guy. My only plan for this last camp in Hintertux was training with the Croatians. After hanging out with the Croatians over the years there are two certainties in ski racing:. Hanging out with John...

Warner Nickerson Alpine Ski Racer. Life, one half-hour at a time. New Zealand Car Jumping 2011. Although some thing this is a bad idea, I think it’s a form of training. Warner Nickerson Alpine Ski Racer. Life, one half-hour at a time. Ted is the man! I’m coming back…. Solden, Austria: The story of yesterday’s World Cup Season Opener was Ted Ligety showing the rest of the world that he can adapt his skiing to any changes F.I.S. cares to make. The question in the finish was, “How is that possible and when was the last time someone won by 2.75? You have to go back to March 10, 1980 when Ingemar Stenmark. It was his first time scoring points in GS. Here are some pictures.

Apparently, he spent a little too much time coaching Nolan Kasper and missed the last lift ride. He definitely earned a free extra workout to cap off the day and the hardest working coach award!
