In my mid-40's, I dove into the world of “online dating,” and managed to reel in the keeper. Now I'm faced with the prospect of a second wedding. If the dating process was entertaining, getting married in this heyday of the Wedding Industry should be fun. Between obscenely priced gowns, lingerie showers, and muscle shirts with "Property of the Groom" bedazzled in rhinestones across the breast, I should be able to come up with enough to write about for a respectable blog. Set 'Em Up, Me Darlin'. Sunday, August 23, 2009. All done with all that. It was said and done on June 20. We had a grand ol' time, but I must say, the best vignette of the day was the flower arranging melee out on the deck, with David's sister, Concha directing a slew of relations in a mad capped frenzy to get six large buckets of flowers whipped into shape. Meanwhile, I ran about with my hair in curlers. We managed to pull it off. Following the wedding, we headed to the coast on a family camping trip.
