Page 3 of 19. Bookworm in Delhi: Daryaganj. February 16, 2011. With every second Indian now beginning to write a book, I often wonder what happened to the bookworms of Delhi. The people who liked reading, not just writing about their IIT, IIM, Mica – experiences. And when it comes to places in Delhi where you can truly be a bookworm, read, browse, buy and sell is in one place you must visit on a sunday morning… Daryaganj. Located near Asaf Ali Road. A special attraction has always been medical and law bo...

Page 4 of 19. Ordering In @ Marathahalli Bangalore. September 6, 2010. With busy schedules and 9-5 jobs that never get over at 5, home-delivery or ordering in most homes like ours is a common phenomenon. If you are lucky and live in Koramangala or Indranagar, the food hubs of Bangalore, you’ll have plenty to choose from. But for the unlucky ones like us who live in Marathahalli, the choices are somewhat restricted. Of course we have Dominos. But some times you need more than just junk food. I have to men...

Destination: Leh – Ladakh – India. April 26, 2011. Leh three small letters, but symbolizing a place with scenic landscapes, warm people and fresh air that you don’t find in the plains. My holiday last year was from Srinagar to Leh. While driving we halted at Hambotingla, at a height of 13,202 ft with a breathtaking view. Standing tall were mountains shaded […]. It’s users the option of purchasing proprietary media codecs. It doesn’t matter if the users purchase their copy of Ubuntu, download it or bought a computer pre-installed with Ubuntu. Life: The departure

http://lifeaseetees.blogspot.com/2011/09/departure.html

Thursday, September 29, 2011. You walk into a country that is as foreign to you as those chocolates that your Dad's friends would bestow on you generously when you were a but a kid. You don't know the language - a dialect that is lost to you. Everything is fascinating - the people, the clothes, the food. And then one day it becomes yours. You begin to understand the nuances of what should be said in an elevator with neighbours. Food, once exotic is dare I say, common, like dal. 9 months simply flew hai n...

Life: Life moves full circle

http://lifeaseetees.blogspot.com/2012/08/life-moves-full-circle.html

Friday, August 31, 2012. Life moves full circle. I haven't blogged here in a long while. Too many other mediums to use really. And the more I use Twitter, the less I feel I have to say. Sometimes 140 characters can be enough. Its almost been a year since I moved to Hong Kong. We have settled in. My parents are coming to visit next week so lots of exciting things happening I guess. In other big news, after much procrastination, PayPal delays and what not, I have finally managed to open my Etsy shop.

Life: August 2011

http://lifeaseetees.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Humidity. Sweat dripping down your back. Walking down shade filled avenues. Warm fizzy taste of shandy. Brunching. Barbeques. Ah, the smell of barbequed meat sends my stomach into a tizzy. More shandy. Air conditioning. I lived without it all my life in India. And now I have such a yen for it. Drinking cold coffee. Reading from my Kindle. The smell of books is lost on me now. I yearn for it again. Ah summer.subarashii desu yo (its wonderful! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Life: February 2011

http://lifeaseetees.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Monday, February 21, 2011. A very long time back. Originally uploaded by KittyKaht. My city burnt like never before, like not even during those ghastly riots of '93. I hurt, I cried and I was angry. Someone had dared to come to my home and decided to rape my essence. It was a sacrilege that was committed against my city. But we found the will to move on, to my surprise, au contraire to what I said before. I miss my home, more than ever now that I am in a different home of my own making. Reading this.

Life: January 2012

Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Should be left where it was, she raged at him. He chose not to reply, looking at the crack in the window pane instead. His cigarette lay unattended, in between his fingers. He looked up at her. She was beautiful, if her kind of beauty appealed, he thought. Glorious red head, tamed into a chignon, hazel eyes and a strong dominating chin. The diamonds at her ears sparkled with life. He had given those to her for their 10th anniversary. Life: The future

http://lifeaseetees.blogspot.com/2012/03/future.html

Friday, March 09, 2012. Was blank. Like a slate waiting to be written on. Such a cliche really. But then cliches make the world go round. She stood waiting at the bus stop, garbed in her trademark red coat and black scarf. It was 8.40 in the morning and the bus was due to arrive in the next five minutes. The wind hurtled around her, chilling her even further. Sasha was her darling. How would she be able to give her up? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Life: December 2011

http://lifeaseetees.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 30, 2011. 2011 has almost passed. I am writing because it has been ages since I wrote here. I think Tumblr and Twitter have overtaken my life. Long posts seem unbearable when I can say things I want to in 140 characters. Tumblr is even better, doesn't require me to say much at all. After the cribbing about Blogger (you idiots), I want to talk a wee bit about 2011. Whoosh, the year went by, didn't it? I still have my grand plans for my photography but I am always worried I am never going ...

The Nomadic Revue | An itinerant authority on entertainment, food and politics

An itinerant authority on entertainment, food and politics. Steven Spielberg wants you to know that Lincoln is a “Very important film”. Every swell and crescendo of John Williams’ score and each silhouetted, portraitesque shot of Daniel Day Lewis tell you that Lincoln is “a very important film.” The problem is, although Lincoln is a very good film, it’s not a great film. This entry was posted in Film. And tagged Daniel Day Lewis. Homeland only deserved one season…but not for the reason you think. Steven ...

Nomadic Rider – Food, Travel and Tech

Food, Travel and Tech. Shopping Destination : Firozabad, UP, India. A couple of years back, I saw these Turkish lamps at the India International Trade Fair. And was fascinated by their colorful mosaic almost stain-glass beauty. I was in two minds to buy them as they were on the expensive side, and finally let go of them. Has evolved so greatly that it’s difficult to keep track of the number different things that are produced here. Although the shops don’t serve as a retail market for its glassware ...

Glenn and Vivi's nomadic travels. Pictures saved here: https:/ viviboberts.imgur.com/. Hue – 13th to 16th January. We left by bus from Hoi An, and took a lovely drive through some winding roads to Hue. Totally painless and very cheap (organised through our homestay). It was an interesting experience driving through Da Nang, having stayed there for the ten nights. We basically drove past our hotel, and both of us, independently, felt relieved we weren’t there anymore. At the second tomb, you walk in, and ...

Home.

December 2, 2016. On March 15th, 2017. Which will be our restaurant’s 5th birthday, Oxheart, will serve its last meal. Oddly enough, the decision wasn’t too hard to make. Kept us organized and focused on the straight and narrow. Eating at Oxheart early on was like bouncing from wall-to-wall. I remember it as a crazy time. I am probably the luckiest motherfucker alive. I want to make an even better restaurant. Most importantly, I’d like to finally get over myself and trust someone else to run the kitchen.
