In memoriam to a skinny lil kitty. Tuesday, 28 August 2007. Background to Nomad's Tail 2. Nomad is still with us and holding her own, but the appalling lump on her face continues to grow at an alarming rate. The latest development in her condition is that I keep finding quite large patches of blood spots on the floor, and I think what’s happening is that her mouth is bleeding when she eats. Nomad has a condition called calici virus, which has caused a growth in her mouth, and unfortunately, there are complications that have triggered a secondary growth. Over the past couple of weeks the lump inside her mouth has grown until it is now evident on the outside of her face. In memoriam to a skinny lil kitty. Tuesday, 28 August 2007. Background to Nomad's Tail 3. Last night was dreadful. Poor little Nomad scratched her face and it was bleeding and leaving a trail of blood spots around the flat. Although I cleaned her up, she, me and the flat ended up looking like the scene of some grisly crime. The vet is seeing her this evening, I think she’s going to have to wear a protective collar to prevent her scratching any more and hurting herself further. Friday, 3 August 2007.
