Friday, May 25, 2012. Every year when the snow starts to melt we have lake front property. okay it's a pond, but I'M CALLING IT A LAKE! KNUDSEN LAKE to be exact. Well this year was the biggest it's ever been. On May 18, 2012 we had a record high of 63 degrees and my son and his friends were indoors playing video games- that's just CRAZY! Saturday, January 12, 2013. Norton Sound Health Corporation Grand Opening. On November 13, 2012 Norton Sound Health Corporation. Held their grand opening ceremonies for the new hospital. I work of NSHC and this was a pretty big deal for our little town of Nome, Alaska. A lot of employees volunteered to work extra hours and on holidays to help set up and organize the events. Wednesday, August 28, 2013. If you've ever been to Nome you would notice that there is this tiny island just off the coast of Nome called Sledge Island (Also known as Ayak Island). Not too many people from Nome have been there. Since I was a child I wanted to go to this mysterious Island that looks like flat cold stone rock. Sledge Island is located about 5 miles from the southwestern shore of the Seward Peninsula. And about 26 miles from Nome, Alaska. More information about the island go to Wikipedia.

Gio Ga. 1 large chicken breast, cooked and shredded. 1 lb bag of fresh cole slaw. 1/2 bunch of cilantro chopped. 8-10 basil or mint leaves, julienne. optional. 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced and soaked in cold water.
