Monday, 28 October 2013. AIR - day 50. Another workshop with 3rd graders in Oyada elementary school. 17 pupils divided in 4 groups created 2m-high monsters from trash and dairy objects. This workshop is aimed at developing imagination and. Creating a narrative about the character they make. In 2011 I did a workshop of hybrid character making. Photo : Takaaki Otsuka. 一枚の手漉き和紙をつくるには、原料はもちろんのこと、水質や配分、紙の漉き方など、無数の要素が絡み合っていることを知り、私は非常に有機的で繊細な印象を持ちました。その手仕事自体の美しさに加え、紙漉きのふねの中で揺れ動く水面や、反射光、楮の漂う様子、美濃で感じた移ろいゆく季節などにも着想を得てこの作品を制作しています。また、形をもたいないもの—研ぎ澄まされた感覚や時間の重み、佇まいや気配のようなものの存在ーも、作品を通して鑑賞者に体験させることを意図しています。 Paper making by hand involves long and complex processes. Sunday, 27 October 2013. AIR - day 49. 里唄（筏唄、作業唄、わらべ唄など）を歌い継ぐ、井上博斗さんに率いられ、. I joined a tour. Walking Suhara area where is 15 mins away from Mino by car. This tour is guided by Hiroto Inoue who is a young folk singer researching about. Local folklore and Japanese traditional performance art. The genre of the song is called "Sato-uta" (village-song) that everyone sang in their everyday life. He guided historical places and sang some folk-songs related with the places. Started from Suhara Shrine.

This is what I made from "the crisps" I wrote about in yesterday's post. I asked Haba-san, my host father, to teach me how to make a wire structure.
